WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE BY HARVESTING RAINWATER
Rainwater harvesting is an activity to collect rainwater to avoid it from going to the drain and be wasted. It will leads us to the following benefits; 1. It can be used for our daily toilet flushing needs. Typical toilet flush is using 9 litres of water, each of us atleast flush toilet 3 times everyday, thats used 27 litres daily. Imagine if we saved 27 litres of piped water daily, at 0.14 sen per litre you saved RM 1.13 per person per month, average family of 4 will save RM 4.62 per month, it sounds small in dollar sense but if average family of four saved 108 litres daily and 1 million families do the same it is 108 million litres daily 3.42 billion litres monthly and 39 billion litres yearly.
